Mainly responsible for the valuation of rates and land rent of real estate properties, management of related accounts and issuance of invoices for collection of rates and land rent. In addition, the Rating and Valuation Department provides property valuation services to government bureaux and departments, compiles timely and reliable property market statistics, and provides residential tenancy advisory and mediation services to the public.
